Our story
Jones Myers was established, by Peter Jones, in 1992 as one of the first specialist family law firms in divorce and children disputes. It soon attracted fellow family lawyers who shared Peter’s ethos in resolving relationship breakdowns in a non-confrontational and constructive way.

charitable changes
We’re deeply committed to supporting vulnerable individuals and giving back to our local communities.
Among a small number of firms who take on public funding work for Children law, our pro-bono campaigns involve a long-standing international child abduction case working closely with organisations like the British and Egyptian police and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Our charitable team events include a charity walk to help raise almost £10k for the Access to Justice Foundation charity which supports society’s most disadvantaged members.
We’re proud of our partnership with Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS), which involved a touring exhibition launched at York Minster and hosted at our Harrogate office.
Our ongoing collaboration with the Northern charity Henshaws includes various fundraising projects to improve the quality of life for their 7,000+ service users, including the blind and disabled.
