Chambers names our solicitors as ‘leaders in their field’
The 2015 illustrious legal industry bible Chambers, has listed 50 per cent of solicitors at Leeds family law specialist Jones Myers as ‘leaders in their field’.
The practice, described previously by Chambers as “utterly brilliant”, “sensitive and understanding”, lists founder Peter Jones, one of the UK’s top divorce lawyers and mediators and the first qualified arbitrator in Leeds, and partner Martin Holdsworth, who heads the firm’s contentious trust and estates team, in the Private Client section across a geographical reach covering Yorkshire and the North East.
Operating out of Leeds and Essex and one of a handful of firms with expertise in international abduction and contact cases, Chambers also acknowledges Jones Myers partner, Kate Banerjee, who heads the children’s department. A member of the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit, Kate specialises in child protection law and is a member of the Child Care Panel.
Also recognised as key players are partner Richard Peaker, a trained lawyer who specialises in financial remedy disputes, pre and postnuptial agreements and cohabitation disputes and Norman Taylor, a collaborate lawyer who has a wealth of experience involving financial issues arising from family and relationship breakdown.
The recognition comes in a formative period for Jones Myers, which has recently further strengthened its team with the promotion of Sarah Dickinson from senior associate to partner, and relocated its Leeds offices to St Paul’s Street to accommodate further growth.
Said Peter Jones: “Having 50 per cent of our solicitors acknowledged as ‘leaders in their field’ speaks volumes and it is tremendous that our reputation and expertise is once again reinforced in this prestigious legal industry bible.”
More details on the rankings will be published later this year.
