Leading guide hails us ‘One of the top niche practices’
Jones Myers once again leads the way in the latest Legal 500 rankings – retaining our joint top position for Leeds, West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire family law firms for another year.
The latest guide recommends us for our specialisations ‘in financial remedies and children work, with a particular focus on proceedings involving overseas assets’ – describing our firm as ‘One of the top niche practices’ and acknowledging practice head, Richard Peaker, as ‘a leading light’.
With founder, Peter Jones, also top-ranked among individual family practitioners again, our team – whose lawyers boast a combined 250 years of legal experience in marriage related issues and contentious trusts and probates – is delighted and proud with the esteemed ranking.
The news comes just two months after highly respected legal industry bible, Chambers 2017, consolidated the excellent reputations of five of our solicitors – in advance of the official rankings in October – by describing them as ‘leaders in their field’.
The powerful endorsements came for award-winning Martin Holdsworth, head of our Contentious Wills, Trust & Estates team, practice head, Richard Peaker, founder Peter Jones, Kate Banerjee, head of our Children Department – and collaborative law guru, Norman Taylor.
The current edition of Chambers describes us as, “A widely respected client boutique with a strong family law offering which houses several high-profile advisers who focus on both high-value matrimonial finance and private law children cases, frequently for high net worth individuals.”
Following another formative year with a series of developments which include further developing our top talent with a series of new appointments, we look forward to the 2017 guide’s comments.
