Why we’re putting our best foot forward for Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk

A team of partners and lawyers from Jones Myers is stepping out to support Harrogate’s Memory Walk which is boosting funds for Alzheimer’s Society.

This year over 110,000 people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, will take part in similar events to raise over £9 million to help fund research for a cure for dementia and to fund services for people living with the disease.

Staff from our Harrogate and Leeds offices will be joined by their families and friends on the 1.6 mile event around Valley Gardens on Saturday, September 16.

The fundraiser is run in conjunction with Harrogate Borough Council who is committed to providing dementia-friendly training for all staff and councillors. Harrogate MP, Andrew Jones – whose team is dementia-friendly trained – is calling on local people to get involved.

Over 40,000 people under 65 in the UK have dementia and Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.
